What is Tangem Pay?

A non-custodial payment account in the Tangem Wallet app. Spend with a virtual Visa online or via Apple Pay / Google Pay after you fund the account—without routing each purchase through a separate exchange deposit.

How is Tangem Pay different from the Tangem Wallet?

Tangem Wallet is self-custody hardware (or app) with minimal identity surface. Tangem Pay is an optional regulated layer: KYC, payment account, Visa card for fiat-rail settlement.

What type of card do I get — virtual or physical?

Virtual Visa at launch. Tangem indicates physical cards later.

Where can I use the Tangem Pay card?

Where Visa is accepted, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. Account is USD; other currencies may incur Visa FX and cross-border fees.

Do I need to convert crypto to fiat before spending?

You must prefund with native USDC on Polygon. Tangem describes debiting USDC from your smart-contract balance while Visa settles merchants in USD.

What cryptocurrencies are supported for spending?

Native USDC on Polygon today; more assets/networks may follow per Tangem.

How do I sign up for Tangem Pay?

Pass KYC, receive the virtual card in-app, fund with Polygon USDC, spend.

Is Tangem Pay available in my country?

Tangem lists the U.S. and parts of LATAM, APAC, MEA, Africa; expansion ongoing. Otherwise use waitlist/support.

What do I need to sign up?

Are there any fees?

Tangem advertises no transaction or monthly account fees for Pay. Watch for FX markups, Polygon gas on top-up, and potential ATM fees if that feature ships. Fee schedule appears at sign-up.

How do I fund my Tangem Pay account?

Use Add funds; send native USDC (Polygon) from Tangem Wallet or another wallet.

Can I withdraw funds back to my wallet?

Yes—unused USDC (Polygon) can go back to Tangem Wallet per Tangem; balance is in a smart contract you control.

Are there any spending restrictions with Tangem Pay?

Visa merchants online/in-store. No ATMs at this stage per Tangem; no direct spend from other tokens/chains yet.

What happens when I make a payment with Tangem Pay?

Tangem: USDC debited from smart-contract account, Visa settlement in USD to merchant; declines leave funds in place.

Who provides the card?

Paera LLC (U.S. delivery), Third National (issuer), Rain (program management), plus Visa, Sumsub, Elliptic, and others named on Tangem’s site.

Who handles KYC for Tangem Pay?

Rain as independent issuing partner. Tangem states it does not see your personal KYC data for that flow.

Can I earn interest or rewards on my balance?

Not at launch. Yield and referral rewards are on Tangem’s roadmap with future opt-in.
